Summary
DevDock is designed to run locally on your computer. By default, it does not require an account and it does not upload your project files to our servers.
- DevDock runs locally and manages local services on your machine
- Your project files stay on your device
- We do not sell personal information
Information we collect
The information we handle falls into three categories: information you provide, information created on your device as part of normal operation, and optional diagnostics if you choose to send them.
Information you provide
- Service settings you configure inside DevDock
- Text you enter into tools inside DevDock (for example, HTTP request data)
- Support messages you send to us and any attachments you choose to include
Local files created by DevDock
DevDock keeps service files, logs, and configuration files in a local folder on your computer so you can find them easily. This is part of normal operation. These files stay on your device unless you choose to share them.
Optional diagnostics
DevDock may display error details locally. If you contact support, you may choose to share logs or screenshots to help us understand the issue. We only receive what you send us.
How we use information
We use information for the following purposes:
- Provide and improve DevDock features
- Help you troubleshoot issues when you request support
- Maintain the security and stability of the app
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information
- We do not read your files outside of what DevDock needs to run the services you enable
- We do not upload your project files to our servers by default
Sharing and third parties
DevDock does not share your information with third parties for advertising. We may share information only in these situations:
- With your consent when you choose to send us logs or other data for support
- For legal reasons if we are required to comply with a valid legal process
- To protect safety if needed to prevent fraud, abuse, or security issues
Data retention
Local service files and logs remain on your device until you delete them. If you contact support, we retain your message and any attachments as long as needed to respond, maintain records, and improve the product. You can request deletion of support communications by contacting us.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information you send us. No method of transmission or storage is 100 percent secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and for reviewing what you choose to share with support.
Children's privacy
DevDock is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information to us, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we have about you. If you contact us, we will respond within a reasonable time.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date below and publish the revised policy on this page.
